You sleep well, thanks god

You sleep well, thanks god

You sleep really well through the night, since sometime between 8 to 10 p.m. to some time between 7 to 9 a.m.

We feed you every 4~5 hours now that you eat rather well during the day. Previously we fed you every 3 hours. We change you each time now, after you had a bit of a diaper rash. This, does not disturb your sleep though, fortunately. You are one adorable baby. You are a dream baby.

Your dad is away for the week for the first time after you are born

Your dad is on a business trip, and will be away till Thursday night.

This is you, my mom and myself at home; this is an interesting experience for me.

I was worried for a while, but hey, after your dad left, I realized it was not that scary after all.

Your dad was missing you already when he got at the airport.

We adore you, honey. Your dad has never loved anyone like this.

Next week, your dad will be away in San Francisco. We were supposed to go with him, but since we decided to go to Iran on August 21st., I thought it would be too hard for you to change routines so many times in a short period. You are a lovely angel.

You mean a lot to us. You were the blessing to a big family.

You mean a lot to us. You were the blessing to a big family.

Now that my father is hospitalized and none of us is strong enough to give the poor man a visit, your existence, laughs and noises around the house is more than just a baby in the house. You bring hope, joy and calmness in our days.

You, darling, you are more than just a bundle of joy to this house. You are a new meaning to our lives in these difficult days.

I can never thank God enough for adding you to our family.

I am not sure how my mom could overcome her deep sorrow if you were not here with us.

We worship you, appreciate your every moment, and adore you.

A guy already exposed himself to you. You liked it!!!!!

A guy already exposed himself to you. You liked it!!!!!

Well, Rustin is just (and exactly) three years older than you. So, 3 years and 5 months as of the weekend before the last weekend when we were in their place.

I guess he had got an irritated skin from their day before on the beach. He just pulled off his pants and underpants right in the living room, and when you were looking.

I guess you liked it. You had a big smile on your face!!!!!!! Lol…

Anxiety around new faces

Anxiety around new faces

Once again you are anxious around new faces, even if they visit you at home.

As I read today on babycenter website, you are supposed to be like this at your age! Be honest, did you read this website already?!!

The website suggests we need to keep you in our arms when strangers come, we should ask them get close to you slowly, play with you and talk to you when you are in our arms, then pass you to them, but stay close, and then leave you with them  for several minutes.

Crying or laughing, you are lovely.

Teething Agitation and Irritation

Teething Agitation and Irritation

You woke up at around 5:30 a.m. yesterday,  crying outloud. We thought it should be because of gum pain. We gave you a homeopathic teething medication (which we were given in the welcome baby hospital package), and it calmed you down. You slept again in half a hour. You were a bit short tempered yesterday though. Your second tooth is about to emerge too.

Your grandma cooked “aash dandouni” and we distributed it among friends.

Solid Food

Solid Food

Just a quick list:

Started with 4~5 drops of apple or grape juice daily since you were 3.5 months.

Started rice cereal (mixed with formula) 10 ml +10 ml daily when you were four months and a week.

After 2 days mixed rice cereal with fresh fruit juice (apple or grapes) rather than formula. To make it smooth and warm, I added less than 5 ml of hot water.

After a couple of weeks I smashed a little piece of banana, mixed it with formula and gave it to you. You love this smooth tasty snack.

Then a mix of avocado and rice cereal for a couple of days.

Then a mix of banana and oatmeal cereal for a couple of days.

Now a mix of fresh apple juice and oatmeal cereal for a couple of days.

In a day or two, I am planning to give you almond syrup with oatmeal cereal. I just hope you are not allergic to almond.
