You have somehow learnt that waving hands means something. You (I guess) wave hands goodbye. 🙂

You clap hands and dance
As of last Monday, you clap hands and try to dance.
You either move your hand (usually one), or you lean on your toy (stand to walk toy) and move your body especially in the hip area. 🙂
I would say dancing and clapping hands is not something to learn, but is in human beings and is part of their development.
Anyways, you clap hands (or at least try to), and dance. Be happy, always, you adorable fantastic thing.
You are afraid of a toy!
You just don’t want to touch it. You feel uneasy and very conscious around it. My mom and I hid it from you.
I will show it to you when you become older. You, lovely thing.
Peekaboo
As of a couple of days ago, you play peekaboo with us. Don’t take me wrong. YOU play it and you want us to laugh. You hid your (or our) face with a cover; your towel or the corner of the pillow, then remove the cover. You laugh yourself and wait for us to laugh too.
No idea how smart and intelligent and bright you are. You surprise us every moment.
You are SOOOOOOOOO adorable.
Object continuity
You were almost 4 months old. I was playing a baby einstein clip on my ipad for you.
The puppet moved out of the screen. You were looking on the side and in the back of the screen searching for the puppet! You couldn’t understand where it went and why it disappeared.
Dr. Safarcherati, my mom’s friend who is a psychiatrist said this is because of objects continuity. You understand that objects exist even if they go out of sight. 🙂
You are really adorable, honey.
Standing in your high chair
You try to stand in your high chair, and look for the toys or food that you dropped on the ground.
Mama, baba, dadadada
You started saying mama, baba, dadadada and similar sounds a week ago, when you were barely 7.5 months. You do not understand the meaning. You just say them.
You close the zipper of your diaper bag
You closed the zipper today for the first time.
You try to stand up
You crawl or do “char dast o pa” to reach out to an ottoman, or a chair, or you car seat. Then grasp the stands, hold yourself up and sit up on your knees, reach out to a higher point on the chair or ottoman, grasp it, and stand up on your feet with no help. This started exactly two days ago. You love it, and you repeat it again and again.
Screaming
For the past ten days your screams have been loud. I mean REALLY LOUD!!!
If you want attention, if we just walk by without holding you in our arms and lifting you, if you want something, if you are excited by something, if you have objection to something,…you scream, loudly. After ten days it seems that you have hurt your voice cords. You can’t scream anymore!
You are the loveliest, honey.
