My Concern with Your Neck Support

My Concern with Your Neck Support

You kept your head upright as early as three weeks old. Not for a long time of course, but early enough to amaze everyone.

These days we noticed that you always tilt your head to your right. We can’t understand why, and we are truing to keep you in positions to help you keep your head tilted to your left. But hey, this very small thing can make me concerned.

And…today, you didn’t want to drink milk. Actually, first we thought you wanted to play. So, we tried to feed you. But later, when I was trying to put you to sleep on my shoulder, you started throwing up, and you threw up three times. We were all so upset with ourselves. I believe, no matter what, next time I won’t try to feed you, if you yourself do not want to eat. It is so hard, because we want you to grow, but hey, after all, this is a team work and we need your cooperation and willingness as well.

God knows how we adore you, honey.

Your dad’s first buz trip after you are born

Your dad’s first buz trip after you are born

Your father goes to many business trips because of his job. For a long time, he didn’t have to go to any of those business trips. But he got a new position right before you were born. In this new position, he might get ad-hoc business trips very frequently, but he also might have the chance of work from home, when he is not on a business trip.

He got his very first business trip in this new position today. It is a one-day fly to Chicago. He flied at 6 a.m and will be back tonight.

I was really concerned, I wasn’t sure if I could take care of you by my own. It is 8:30 now, and the past 5:30 hours were totally fine and sweet. But, honey, pray for me. My biggest fear is getting too overwhelmed and impatient with you.

Your dad is not quite sure, how he should be able to part with you for four  days or longer in the future.

You have no idea how much we all love you.

Your Passport

Your Passport

We received your passport right now.

You are Canadian. Congrats. At (younger than) three months, you still have no idea how valuable a Canadian nationality is.

One might be able to change their citizenship, but nationality is the one thing that can never be change, and will haunt the individual forever, if it is from a third world, or (as they call it) a terrorist country.

Canada is a great country to ba born in. Never take it for granted.

And…your grandparents (my parents) and your uncle are still waiting to be eligible for Canadian citizenship. You received yours.

Again, congrats. 🙂

First time to IKEA, First time to enjoy a pacifier

First time to IKEA, First time to enjoy a pacifier

You went to IKEA yesterday for the first time. You were a cute little lady, laying still and quiet (not sure if you were happy too) in your stroller as we walked. You really wanted us to hold you and walk you around. I didn’t let your dad do so. We are trying to keep you on the ground, to keep our hands and waists safe! Sorry!!! It is really hard for us, too.

This week we gave you a pacifier. You didn’t previously like it much. And, when we gave you a pacifier last month, you had nipple confusion, so, you started playing with your milk bottle rather than drinking milk.

This time, there is no confusion yet, and you seem to enjoy pacifiers when you want to go to sleep. If you are in your playful socializing mood, you refuse it

You are adorable. We all love you. No wonder, since you are really really lovely.

You favourite toys

You favourite toys

You love playing in your gym. You stay there for ten to forty five minutes and play with your rattling (or other) small stuffed animals hanging in your gym.

Your other favourite is a penguin with a mirror in her belly. You see yourself or other stuff in that mirror.

The funniest thing was, almost two weeks ago, when we first showed you a little stuffed bear, you were trying to talk to her. She didn’t talk back (Really, what did you expect?!!!) and you were angry at her! This poor little bear was never your favourite.

You grow…

You grow…

You grow and gain new skills exactly as all reference websites’ guidelines are!

Now you love to communicate. I think you will be one of those talkative lovely girls. You smile at everyone now. You stretch out your hands if you want people to hold you. You laugh out loud  and once we hold your hands you try to sit up or stand up.

You poop!

You poop!

You poop!!!

Once a day, usually in the morning. And…believe it or not, I wait for it each and every day. This is one of the most pleasing ways of starting a day. This has been the routine for the past month.

I don’t exaggerate when I say we love your poop.

You are the most adorable baby ever.

You Communicate!

You Communicate!

I think, I THINK, you just understood the concept of verbal communication.

It was like a switch, clicking in you. I think, (and I emphasize, it might just be my imagination, but your dad and your grandma share this same idea with me) you first thought that you can verbally communicate with me. For several days, you made -lovely- baby noises in the morning, after you woke up. After a good night sleep, you were fresh and energetic enough to give me a big smile, and talk to me. I repeated the noises to you, and talked to you in return. For four or five days, you were communicating with me in the morning.

My mom saw it, and was surprised, you had never made noises for her. She started talking to you, and….it clicked in you. You understood you could communicate with your grandma the same way. You started making noises in response to your grandma. And…the last one was your dad, the same night when he came home from work. He was upset why you didn’t communicate with him too. I told him you didn’t yet realize that you could communicate to everyone. So, I told him to start talking to you, and…that was it. After ten minutes or so, you realized that you could talk to your dad as well. Now when you are fresh, fool, and have a clean diaper, you keep on looking at us, smiling at us, and making noises.

Yesterday, when we went to the doctor, you were naked, waiting for the doctor to examine you. The doctor was asking us if we had questions, and … in return you started making noises for the doctor. Your doctor laughed and said to us “I guess she has questions”.

You got your first set of vaccines. You did great afterwards. We gave you half a drop of Tylenol, around half an hour before vaccination, another 0.75 of ml at night, and another 0.75 the day after. You brought it up, though. You didn’t give us a hard time at all. We gave you the oral vaccine as well at the doctor’s clinic. You swallowed it all.

You measured 59 cm, and weighed 4980 grams. Doctor said we could take you to the public places including shopping malls next week. We can’t wait for that.

Same night you went to Lida’s (Arman’s) place with us for dinner. You were a princess, calm and nice.

You are just adorable.  Everybody loves you.
