Funny – You understand many words

Funny – You understand many words

If we ask if you “made poopoo”, you will make the sound “eh  eh”. It doesn’t mean if you did or did not make poopoo. It is just a reaction to the word poopoo, because you know what it is!

If you hear the word “good bye”, “bye bye”, “bye”, “khodaafez”, or “shab bekheir”, you wave hands. For the words bye and good bye, it is at least 6 weeks or so. For the other words, it started happening in the past 2~3 weeks.

If we ask you “bekhaab”, you will put your head down on the bed.

You understand many words, and I think you now understand a lot of what I tell you.

You are adorable, sweetie.

Your first birthday

Your first birthday

We celebrated it last on Monday, February 17th, on Family Day.

I had two midterm exams and a presentation all in the week of February 10th, so, I had to celebrate your birthday a week later.

We celebrated it in MiniMania indoor playground.

On February 11th also, we had a small celebration with you, Vahid, my mom, myself and Massy khanom.

Both times, you started crying! I think you are not comfortable with the cake, the candles, or perhaps the fact that you need to sit still somewhere, and do something if you have no clue what is happening.

You are always ALWAYS the prettiest and the most attractive baby in the party.

All kids had a wonderful time in the playground. 😀

You adorable thing; happy birthday sweetie. You made it. 😀

And….I made it too. I am soooooo happy and thankful for you and your dad.

A valuable anniversay

A valuable anniversay

Tonight is the 12th anniversary of our immigration to Canada.

We landed with just $12,000 in our bank accounts. We are now sitting on a big investment. 🙂 I am of no intention to stop or slow down here. This is just the beginning.

All we brought in from Iran within the past 12 years sums up to almost $50,000. Now we own at least ten times more in net assets including cash, property, stocks, options and gold.

You hit, scratch, and bite!!

You hit, scratch, and bite!!

This has been happening for the past 4 months. Now it is much more purposeful, though. When you want something, and we do not realize it, (or you think we cannot realize it), you start hitting, scratching and biting!!

If you want us to play you music, or if you do not like the music and want us to change it for you, you really don’t give us even a minute! You go for it yourself, and meanwhile you bite, scratch and hit us, until we can get a chance, and give you what you want.

Oh god, I wish you could see yourself doing it all. Believe it or not, you are the most adorable thing I have EVER seen in the world.

You have favourite songs

You have favourite songs

You love Julio. It is almost 5 or 6 weeks that we have realized it. You sit in our bed, curled up in your dad’s arm, with your fingers in your mouth, listening to Julio for 15, 20 minutes.

Your other favorites are Enrico Macias, and some french or Spanish chansons.

There are your favourites for sleeping. But usually, when you hear music, you get distracted so easily. You have developed your dance figures and moves. You have at least four moves for your hands. One for your hip and a couple of moves with all your body. You move with music and you can keep the rhythm. I think you are a natural.

You can open and close the top lids of some containers

You can open and close the top lids of some containers

As I am sitting here, typing these words, you are busy (really busy) with opening and closing the lid of a small lotion box. When you don’t succeed, you get frustrated first, and then pass it to me to do it for you. 🙂

Ambitious adventurous little girl, don’t get frustrated on things that are supposed to come to you later, hon. 🙂

You called 911!

You called 911!

You love to play with the phone. You try to dial something and then you hand it to me!

And…I was talking to my mom back home, and you were trying to press buttons on the phone. Finally you succeeded to terminate the call.

You were playing with the phone, and I was trying to change your diaper when I suddenly noticed that you had dialled 9111*. You hadn’t pressed “talk” yet, but it was good enough to receive a call back from the York regional police!

They told me that phone is not a toy, and I should keep it out of the reach of children. Because of their protocol 911 stopped by a couple of hours later to make sure that all was fine.

You, my little adorable mischief.
