You are more stubborn than ever

You are more stubborn than ever

It is your age and a part of every child’s development. You are now passing through this phase: you want what you want!

You want to sit on the front seat in the car. You want to have a popsicle as your breakfast, you wanted to go see dolphins this morning, and you wanted to go on an airplane and up in the sky yesterday!!!

My experience with you, I tell you (because I am sure) that you understand what I am explaining to you, and i will not repeat it again: I give you the reasons why you cannot do that, and then I follow with the statement: therefore it is not possible to do this, no matter how much you shout or I shout or daddy shouts. Instead, we can do….

You are usually persuaded after this short speech. It is sometimes more difficult. But hey, it is a part of growing up.

You are a very happy child, you are smart, you are pretty, and you know that.

and, you introduce yourself as “Deeba Joun”. 😀

You are VERY adorable. and, you still prefer your daddy to the world.

You know your left and right

You know your left and right

You know your left and right. We ask you to show us your left hand, and you do so, your right and left ears, and you show us, so on so forth.

I think you learnt it from TV, because the first time you showed us the wrong one, but we corrected you and your learned it right!!

I can’t decide if you are really smart and pretty, But to me,you definitely are smart and pretty, and…of course, the most adorable thing.

Some of your sentences

Some of your sentences

You have been speaking in Farsi and English for a while now. You are really great.

You could sing “twinkle twinkle little star” when you were just two years old.

You could sing the alphabet song before you were two.

You sing “تاب تاب عباسی” in farsi whenever you swing, or you push us on a swing.

You are sweet, and adorable. God bless you, adorable angel. God bless your life hon. You deserve the best.

You like your private home daycare

You like your private home daycare

In less than a month you got very much used to, and even very interested in your daycare.

For the first two/three weeks you cried a lot when we wanted to prepare you and leave the house. You literally BEGGED to stay at home. But we took you there anyways and despite all the shouts and cries. Time showed we were right. Now you really enjoy your daycare, you love to play with those children, and guess what…you asked to wear dresses and skirts when you go there! 😀

You were with your dad in the bedroom and it was almost bedtime. Your dad noticed that you were trying hard to wear your skirt. Your dad said “it is bedtime and you should wear pyjamas. You answered “ملودی دونوم پوشیده. شانیا دونوم پوشیده؛”, which in persian means “Melody wears a skirt, Shania wears a skirt”. Just then, we realized that you also wanted to wear skirts and dresses when you go to daycare. 😀

You are ADORABLE, and lovely. God bless you.

Your second birthday

Your second birthday

We celebrated your birthday today at Mini Mania again.

You had lots of fun.

The cake had a print of Toopy and Binoo, and i managed to find a birthday party pack with Toopy and Binoo on them. But that bday party pack included a limited set of items. So, I purchased other items in solid purple.

Today was the coldest day of the year so far. At 8 a.m. it felt like -42!!! and between 3 to 6, when we had your birthday, it felt like -36!!!

It was fun sweetheart. I do wish you a lifetime of deep and great happiness. You are adorable. You are such a great girl. You are soooo unique with a very unique character and personality. You have already made your family proud.

Some cute moments

Some cute moments

Your grandma’s name is “Fatemeh” and for short, we told you to call her “Maman Faty”. You call her Fatty!!

I was talking to you about peeing in a putty. I told you: “I will get you a putty, که توی پاتی جیش کنی”.

All you got from this conversation, was: “فاطی جیش کنه” !!!!!

For the first time you said I love you to Afsaneh.

We told you to kiss her goodbye, when she was going down in the basement. You sent her a kiss and said “I love you”. 😀

In “Toys’r us” you showed interest in dolls for the first time. You asked me to put a doll of Dora on the floor of the store for you, then you sat in front of it and said “I love it”. You did the same thing again and again with some similar toys including bubbly guppy dolls.

You are REALLY ADORABLE. Nobody can resist you, sweetheart.

A specific tune makes you sad

A specific tune makes you sad

You have many toys and most of them play music when you press a bottom or play with them. You like them all, and have never been sensitive to any of those tunes.

But there is one specific toy, with two princesses on two horses coming down a slope. There is a “mary go round” on this toy and horses can be fixed on it and go round. When the merry go round starts, a tune starts. I played it for the first time a couple of nights ago for you. You got sad, and started crying really sadly. Then you said “sad horse”, and you said “horsy dance nakoneh”. So, I stopped the music, and told you not to listen to it if it bothers you.

I myself had a similar reaction to a tune on TV at around your age. A close friend of my mom who is a psychiatrist, and said that specific tunes may make some people sad. It is true about me, even now, and seems to be true about you. So, beware. Stop listening to a music if it makes you sad.

You are lovely and adorable.
