Your eating habits

Your eating habits

You are not a big eater. But you like milk, which is a blessing.

Texture of the food is important to you.

You like fruit, especially melon, grapes, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and apple.

You do not like cheese, except for the cheese on Pizza. You love pizza and macaroni. Sometimes you eat chicken and ground beef too. You love beans in “ghormeh sabzi”. You used to love “aash” too.

You still call all sorts of food “aash”!

Now you do not like aash as much as you previously did.

My mom is extremely nervous about your eating habits. You are not a big child and you are on the low 50% range onΒ  the growth chart. But hey, you are still in the chart. So, I guess I can live with it.

You are happy, and you have self-confidence. That’s all you will need.

Love u so much.

Second trip to Iran

Second trip to Iran

We went to Iran, and took you there for the second time on July 27th and stayed till August 18th.

My grandparents and Vahid’s parents (and siblings) love to see you. They almost worship you.

You had no clue what had happened and why everything was so different. (I think) you felt nervous and excited. You didn’t eat as much as you eat here at home.

And…you do not feel comfortable with men!!! You didn’t let Vahid’s dad and my grandpa hold, hug and kiss you. You did not go near your uncle Mohammad.

The matter is, my grandpa is 91 years old now, and he is never sure if he can see you again. So, we did our best to encourage you let him hug and kiss you.

You liked my grandma and Vahid’s mom (who was by the way so nervous and upset because you didn’t eat much). Most of all, you loved your aunts, Faezeh, Zahra and Laya (in that order). You kissed them. Zahra had lots of lotions and sprays on a short table in her room. You went to her room, brought all those items one by one to her. Gave them to her, and kept your lips up for her to kiss you on your lips!!!

You always asked Faezeh to hold you in her arms and take you out to “dadar”. (dadar: kid’s word for outdoor in farsi).

And….

Again, everybody loves you. You are just so proud and snob however, you keep your nose up and do not let people (except a select few) to approach you.

First time to the beach

First time to the beach

We took you to the beach last week for the first time.We went to Wasaga beach.

You were not feeling comfortable with water in the beginning, but little by little you got comfortable. We helped and led you dig a hole in the sand. Then I brought buckets of water to fill the hole. Then we encouraged you to step on the sand, go closer to the water, and fill the bucket yourself. Then we helped you sit in the water, and you started enjoying it.

You swallowed water and panicked because you felt you were chocking. But again we held you, put your feet in the water, played, and made you comfortable with water again.

I will take you to the swimming pool some time this weekend if we get a chance.

Library for the first time

Library for the first time

We went to the library for the first time today.

You like books, but you do not like new places.

My plan was to take you to the community center again. We went there, but it was for babies (who do not walk yet), and so, you couldn’t go there today. I took you to YMCA/Community center library instead.

You started crying hard when you realized I was taking you to the community center. You didn’t even want to look through the window, and I have no idea why!!! You were much better at the library. You played a little, but didn’t want to join the kids (around your own age) to sit and listen to the story at the storytelling session.

I am trying to make you ready for daycare in six to eight months from now! Let’s see if that will work.

And…

You are still the prettiest girl. Everybody adores you.

Your vocabulary so far

Your vocabulary so far

You learned to say “barg” and “dar” yesterday.

For a while you have been able to say “dadar”, “Aash”, “Maa”, “Haappou”, and “bah bah”.

You do not pronounce them like adults, but you try to say them and sometimes you just whisper them.

You are the cutest baby ever. Everybody, even the most remote people, praise your unique beauty.

You are adorable.

We decided not to put you in daycare

We decided not to put you in daycare

I asked your dad to take you to daycare on Monday. He took you there, and stayed with you. But the whole time, you just hang on him, crying nervously. Vahid says you were really scared and nervous and stressed out. So, we decided to keep you with us at home and not to put you in daycare!

I feel so relieved. We love you, our adorable beautiful (extremely beautiful) lovely girl. You are amazing.

You (somehow) started daycare last week

You (somehow) started daycare last week

You went to daycare last week for two days, and we stayed for half an hour each day.

On Friday i left you there for fifteen minutes and you kept on crying for the whole fifteen minutes! You are so attached to us, sweetheart.

For many different reasons, I decided to put you in daycare. You will have time for transitioning, and we are supposed to leave you there for fifteen minutes or so every day for 3 or 4 weeks. Let’s see how it will work, adorable young lady. πŸ™‚
